The Story of Huxley

How One Fluffy Highland Cow Started Hucklepuff Ranch

Somewhere between the mountains and the clouds, down a winding little road that most people
drive right past, there is a very unusual place called Hucklepuff Ranch.
And if you ask anyone who lives there how the ranch began, they'll tell you the same thing:

It all started with Huxley.

Huxley is a fluffy Highland cow with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and absolutely no
understanding of personal space. From the time he was little, Huxley was different.

While the other Highland cows were perfectly happy doing ordinary cow things, Huxley was
always wandering off to investigate something. He collected strange treasures, made friends
with every creature he met, and had a particular talent for finding things that seemed to have been forgotten.

A lonely little squishy tucked away by itself? Huxley noticed. A funny-looking creature that didn't quite fit in with the others? Huxley thought it was perfect.
Something a little lumpy, unusually colorful, ridiculously soft, or just plain weird? That was exactly the kind of thing Huxley loved most.

Before long, Huxley's collection of unusual friends started growing.
There were squishy creatures, stretchy creatures, sparkly creatures, tiny friends, jumbo friends, and a few mysterious ones that nobody was quite sure what to call. Huxley didn't care.

At Hucklepuff Ranch, you don't have to match to belong. As more friends arrived, Huxley realized they needed a place of their own—a place where being different wasn't something to hide. It was something to celebrate.

And that is how Hucklepuff Ranch was born.

Today, Huxley is the official mascot, head greeter, unofficial quality inspector, and self-appointed boss of all things squishy at Hucklepuff Ranch. He takes his job very seriously. Well… mostly seriously.

Huxley believes that the perfect squishy isn't necessarily the rarest, biggest, or most expensive one. It's the one that makes you happy when you squeeze it.
That's why every new friend that comes through Hucklepuff Ranch is part of Huxley's ever-growing world—a wonderfully weird family filled with color, imagination, and plenty of squish.

Some friends stay at the ranch. Others are waiting to be adopted and head off on adventures of their own.

And Huxley? He's always watching the road for the next unusual little friend who needs a place to belong. Because at Hucklepuff Ranch, there's always room for one more.

The Hucklepuff Promise

Be soft.
Be silly.
Be different.
Be kind.

And never be afraid to stand out from the herd. Welcome to Hucklepuff Ranch.
Huxley will show you around.

The Story of Cooper

The Little Rescue Mascot Who Found His Way to Hucklepuff Ranch.

Long before Cooper became the Rescue Mascot of Hucklepuff Ranch, he was a tiny pup in Texas waiting for someone to give him a second chance.

Cooper may have been small, but there was something everyone noticed about him right away:

He had an enormous heart. His journey began in Abilene, Texas, a very long way from the mountains of Montana. Cooper
needed a home, but the family meant for him wasn't just across town.
They were hundreds of miles away.
That's when some very special people stepped in. With the help of an animal flight rescue organization, Cooper took to the skies and began an incredible journey north. Eventually, he arrived safely at a Montana animal shelter.

Cooper didn't know it yet, but his biggest adventure was about to begin. Because someone was coming to meet him. And sometimes, when the right person and the right little dog find each other, they just know. Cooper had found his family.

Cooper Comes to Hucklepuff Ranch.

When Cooper eventually arrived at Hucklepuff Ranch, Huxley was one of the first to welcome him. Huxley showed Cooper the barn, the lavender fields, the winding trails, and all the strange and
wonderful friends who called the ranch home.

Cooper couldn't believe it. There were squishy friends. Stretchy friends. Fluffy friends. Friends with paws, horns, wings, fins—and a few friends that nobody had quite figured out yet. But Huxley explained the most important rule of Hucklepuff Ranch:

You don't have to match to belong.

Cooper understood that better than most.
After all, his own journey had taken him across the country before he finally found the place where he belonged. So Cooper decided he had found his job. From that day forward, no new friend would ever have to arrive at Hucklepuff Ranch
alone.

The Rescue Mascot

Today, Cooper is known as Cooper the Rescue Mascot. Whenever a new friend arrives at the ranch feeling frightened, different, or unsure, Cooper is usually the first one there.

He gives them the grand tour. He introduces them to Huxley and the rest of the ranch family. And if they're nervous?
Cooper simply sits beside them until they're ready. Because he remembers what it feels like to be the new little pup wondering what happens next. Around his neck, Cooper proudly wears his signature purple Hucklepuff Ranch bandana.

And like every special Hucklepuff friend, he carries the Forever Paw—a little golden heart that
represents something Cooper knows better than anyone:

Being chosen can change a life.

Cooper's journey started hundreds of miles away. It took airplanes, rescuers, an animal shelter, and a family willing to say yes. But somehow, every part of that journey led him exactly where he was supposed to be. Home.

And now Cooper spends his days making sure every new friend who arrives at Hucklepuff Ranch knows one very important thing:
Every friend deserves a forever home.

And, at Hucklepuff Ranch, sometimes the smallest paws leave the biggest footprints.

The Story of Oakley

A Hucklepuff Ranch Adventure

Oakley was born in the mountains, where he and all his brothers and sisters played in the forest every day. They raced through the trees, splashed in streams, and lived the best puppy life.

Even as a tiny Mini Australian Shepherd, Oakley had a nose for adventure. He was curious about everything and was always the first to investigate a new sound, follow an unfamiliar trail, or see what might be hiding around the next tree.

Then one day, Cassie found Oakley, and his biggest adventure began. Oakley eventually made his way to Hucklepuff Ranch, where he discovered a place filled with new friends, curious creatures, Highland cows to chase, and plenty of places waiting to be explored.

One bright morning, Oakley noticed a trail of purple petals scattered across the meadow. Naturally, he had to find out where they went. He followed them past the old wooden fence, around the trees, and into a hidden corner of the
ranch.

There, growing beneath the Montana sunshine, was something Oakley had never seen before. Purple carrots.
Oakley sniffed one. Then another. And before anyone could stop him, he started digging.

Dirt flew everywhere.

By the time Huxley and Cooper found him, Oakley was sitting proudly in the middle of the patch with a purple carrot between his paws and dirt from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail. And that was how Oakley discovered the Purple Carrot Patch.

From that day forward, Oakley became known as The Purple Carrot Explorer.
Today, he spends his days exploring Hucklepuff Ranch, digging for purple carrots, chasing the Highland cows, playing with Squish balls, and heading out on nighttime adventures with his
glow-in-the-dark friends.

Oakley never knows exactly what he will discover next—and that's exactly how he likes it. Because at Hucklepuff Ranch, a little curiosity can lead to a very big adventure.

Oakley's Motto:

Every adventure begins with a wagging tail and a little curiosity!
